This is a project I did in my publication class during the spring semester. We were tasked with creating a faux design competition, and all details were up to the students, including location, categories, dates, and judges. At the time, I was in an art history class, and we were discussing art museums, so I wanted an event that combined Classical Antiquity with modern graphic design. I chose Greek statues as the centerpieces for each page of my brochures and posters, and I labeled them to give the feeling of a museum. The design is minimal, with the statues providing most of the detail. I based the competition in Cedar Falls at the University of Northern Iowa, and the judges were a few of my professors. I loved this project because it pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I love the end result.
